We should remember that Iraq was a paper state created by Winston Churchill as part of the British Mandate after the collapse of the Ottoman Empire. Little consideration was given to the particular religious and social mores of the indigenous sects and cults. I must also agree that if the victorious British Raj had stopped to obtain the consent of all concerned in 1918, they might still be at the table, or their replacements would be. And murder and rape and torture and sexual mutilations and slavery would still be going on, just with a different set of warlords. By this time Iraq may also have founded a less violent secular government as Turkey did almost 90 years ago, absent foreign control. –– JL
The supreme court, of the corporate United states, hands down Cunningham v. california, prohibiting judges from imposing sentences based on facts that the jury was not allowed to consider. This decision is based upon the fraudulent 14th amendment, rather than the due process provisions in california’s constitution of 1879.

This could get pretty complicated, so I’ll just say right direction, false ‘amendment.’ Please see www.fija.org for important things we should all know about Jury Power, –– JL
