While the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries) ostensibly control most of Afghanistan, Antonio Maria Costa, Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, says that Opium production in Afghanistan will probably increase 50% to approximately 6,100 tons, in the near term.
