Fifth of 13: Michael Boone, of Doniphan, Missouri, fatally shoots Rodney Ray in self-defense after he had entered the Boone home and initiated a domestic disturbance.

       Sixth of 13: An armed David Lineberry, of Durham, north carolina, leaves his jewelry store, to break-up the attempted armed robbery of David Baum by Rashad Rogers.  Lineberry fires three shots before Rogers runs off.  Statute enforcement officers track down Rogers and arrest him.  Baum says of the incident, “There was no doubt in my mind this was it.  If [David] hadn’t come out, that was it.”

       While visiting Balad Air Base, in Iraq, Donald Rumsfeld, Secretary of Defense, poses for a “photo-op” (publicity opportunity) with five hand-picked United states Soldiers.  After the photograph, Corporal Arthur King, (a member of the Navajo Nation asks Rumsfeld why New York City has the latest, state-of-the-art equipment for detecting land mines, but his fellow engineers are forced to work with outdated, antiquated equipment, which have resulted in the deaths of over 2,000 members of the U.s. Armed Forces (private mercenaries) in Iraq.
