The United states Army (private mercenaries) takes Bilal Hussein, an Associated Press photographer, prisoner, in Ramadi, Iraq. Hussein had just recently won a Pulitzer Prize for his work covering the Iraqi-American War, coverage which might have been seen as embarrassing to the U.s. Armed Forces.
Postscript: Nineteen months later Hussein was still being held without having been charged with having committed any crime. Neither had he been allowed to meet with his attorney (government licensed legal counsel).
Question: Is this how the U.s. government establishes the rule of law in pro-Iranian Iraq?
