While the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are in Afghanistan, Djibouti, Iraq, the Philippines and west Africa defending “all freedom-loving people everywhere in the world,” Hurricane Katrina hits New Orleans, louisiana. The U.s. Army Corps of Engineers exacerbates the flooding by destroying levees along the Mississippi that hold water back from the city—which is below sea level.
NOTE: The Federal Emergency Management Agency knew that the levees had been breached, after the storm, but would not admit it for a full 24 hours.
