The Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, of China, declares the power to alter the Basic Law (constitution) of Hong Kong, resides with the NPC, and not with the residents of Hong Kong.  This denies the right of self-government, and strikes a serious blow at China’s claim of “one country, two systems: (Dengian communism (i.e. fascism) versus the free-market).
