United states Air Force Colonel John Dobbins (private mercenary) commander of Tallil Forward Air Base, Iraq, confirms in an interview that the major reason for “Operation Iraqi Fiefdom” was to establish four U.s. air bases, replacing those lost in Saudi Arabia: the first at the international airport, in Baghdad; the second along an old oil pipeline that runs into Jordan; the third at Bashur, in the Kurdish north; and the last at Tallil, in the south.
