The Appalachian Law School massacre DOES NOT occur, because Mikael Gross and Tracy Bridges, both students at ALS, draw their side-arms on Peter Odighizswa, a former ALS student, who had already killed three and wounded three others, with his .380 ACP semi-automatic pistol.  Odighizswa still had enough ammunition to shoot two others before turning the gun on himself.  Instead Gross and Bridges hold him until statute enforcement officers arrive.

Postscript: Odighizswa pleaded guilty to murder and was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
