Irvington, new jersey, statute enforcement agents (acting under-color-of-law) arrest Hamadi Alston and Jaquill Shelton, two eight year-old students at Augusta Street Elementary School, for making terrorist threats in school: pointing folded, paper guns at another classmate. The two boys are grilled for five hours before the District Attorney decides not to press charges.
Question: Were these boys treated this way because they were of African heritage? Would eight year-old boys of European heritage be treated in this fashion?
