The Revolutions of 1989 continue: A carefully orchestrated rally staged by Nicolae Ceausescu, co-dictator of communist Romania, quickly descends into chaos as his vetted supporters begin booing and jeering him just minutes into his address. The event which was being broadcast nation-wide prompted anti-government rioting.
Postscript: The next day the Army of Romania switched sides, forcing Ceausescu to flee Palace Square via helicopter with his co-dictator and wife Elena.
