The Revolutions of 1989 continue: After two days of anti-communist demonstrations in Prague’s Wenceslas Square 200,000 Czechoslovaks wildly cheer Roman Catholic Cardinal Frantisek Tomasek as he declares: “We cannot wait any more.”  The crowd then gives birth to the anti-communist Civic Forum movement.

       Postscript: The following day their numbers swelled to a half-million.
