The exiled Shah of Iran, Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi, checks into New York – Weill Cornell Medical Hospital in New York City, for treatment against non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.  Pahlavi registers with the name “David Newsome,” in an effort to conceal that he has entered the United states.
