J. Fred Buzhardt, Jr., Special Legal Counsel to Republican de facto President Nixon, Esq., reveals to judge John J. Sirica, of the Federal court for the District of Columbia, that 18½ minutes of recorded conversation between Nixon and his Chief of Staff, H. Robert Haldeman, have been erased.
NOTES:
- While the substance of this conversation may never be known, speculation is that it may have been over the involvement of Watergate burglar E. Howard Hunt, a former Central Intelligence agent, in the attempted assassination of dictator Fidel Castro, of Cuba, and the successful assassination of Democratic (socialist/fascist) President Kennedy.
- As an attorney (Officer of the Court) Nixon was ineligible to serve in two branches of government at the same time, according to Article I, Section 6 [Clause 2].
