Democratic (socialist/fascist) governor Orville E. Faubus, of the confederate state of arkansas, orders the closure of all high schools in the city of Little Rock to prevent them from becoming racially integrated.

       NOTE: The Department of Health, Education and Welfare estimated that during 1958 over one-million student-days were lost over school closures to prevent racial integration.

       The supreme court, of the corporate United states, hands down Cooper v. Aaron, inventing the extra-constitutional “Doctrine of Judicial Supremacy”: the states are bound by decisions of the supreme court, even if they disagree with them.
