The supreme court, of the corporate United states, hands down United states v. E. I. du Pont de Nemours, ruling that the DuPont corporation’s recent acquisition of 23% of General Motors Corporation common (with voting rights) stock violates Federal anti-trust statutes, as DuPont is a major supplier to GM.
