The 1952 Treaty of San Francisco, ending the allied occupation of the Empire of Japan, goes into effect.
NOTES:
- So ended the U.s.’ 10th attempt at nation building, bringing its total success/failure record to (successes, 1; failures, 8; and one toss-up).
- While “nation-building is a laudable goal, Article IV, Section 4 of the Constitution for the united States says that “The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government”; it does NOT state that “The United States shall guarantee to every nation on this planet a Republican Form of Government” [emphasis added].

The supreme court, of the corporate United states, hands down Zorach v. Clauson: “release time,” in which government-run, public school students may receive one-hour per week of religious instruction away from the school building is permissible under the fraudulent 14th amendment.
NOTE: In rendering this decision the court ignored the new york constitution of 1894, article I, section 3.
