William McChesney Martin, Jr., assistant secretary of the treasury for monetary affairs, is inaugurated as Chairman of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors (a Federal agency).

Postscript: Under his tenure, the wording on the bottom of the Federal Reserve Notes (Bills of Credit) was changed from “PAY THE BEARER ON DEMAND [ONE, FIVE, TEN, etc.] DOLLARS,” to simply read, “[ONE, FIVE, TEN, etc.] DOLLARS.”  This is to further condition United states subject/enemy/citizens into believing that the Dollar is really a piece of paper, and not a piece of silver or gold.
