Democratic (socialist/fascist) President Truman; Prime Minster Winston S. Churchill, of the United Kingdom; and Chiang Kai-shek, military dictator of the kleptocratic Republic of China, issue the Potsdam Declaration, reasserting their demand for the unconditional surrender of the Empire of Japan.
NOTE: Also at the conference, it was agreed that Vietnam would be divided along the 16th parallel. The United Kingdom would occupy the southern portion and the kleptocratic Nationalist Chinese would occupy the northern portion.
