Republican (fascist/socialist) de facto President Harding (a resident of the Federal enclave of Ohio) signs the (protective) Fordney-McCumber Tariff Act, raising import duties on imported agricultural equipment 38.5%.  This puts the nation’s farmers at a severe competitive disadvantage.
