De facto Commander-in-Chief Wilson (having received an unlawful advantage of 50 ineligible Electoral votes) issues Executive Order 2594, creating the Committee on Public Information, for the purpose of building public support for United states involvement in the Great War (World War I). The primary target of the CPI is the nation’s high school conscript-students.
NOTE: “An executive order is … a written command issued by the President directing subordinate government officials to take specified actions or implement designated policies.”
