The First French Revolutionary War continues: Charles William Ferdinand, Duke of Brunswick, issues the Brunswick Manifesto warning the citizens of Paris, France that if Louis XVI is harmed their city will be destroyed by fire.
NOTE: This had the negative effect of making the king appear to be an enemy of the revolution.
