Freedmen, in Charleston, South Carolina, present a petition to the State legislature to allow them to enter in lawsuits, and testify, against State sovereign Citizens of European descent. The petition is rejected.
NOTE: What is astonishing here, to the editors, is not that the petition was rejected, but that Charleston had a population of freedmen, whose freedom was respected.
