Ebenezer Richardson, a Boston, Massachusetts-Bay customs official, mortally shoots 11-year-old Christopher Seider. Seider was part of a crowd that was expressing its displeasure with the Townshend Acts and the presence of Soldiers of the Army of Great Britain.
