The Vice Admiralty Court, of Boston, Massachusetts, decides Rex v. Hancock, finding John Hancock, a sea merchant, not guilty.  However, seven months previous, that same court handed down the Liberty, declaring the sloop owned by John Hancock, guilty of smuggling.   The Court ordered the ship transferred to the custody of the Royal Navy, and outfitted with armaments.  Its mission will be to patrol the coast guarding against smuggling.
