The French and Indian War morphs into the Seven Years (world) War: Frederick “the Great” II, commanding the Army of Prussia, marches into the neighboring Holy Roman Imperial Electorate of Saxony to counter the attempt of Empress Maria Theresa, of Austria, to occupy Silesia.
Postscript: Eventually the Electorate of Hanover, the Principality of Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel, the Iroquois Confederacy, the Landgraviate of Hesse-Kassel, the County of Schaumburg-Lippe, and Portugal were drawn into the war against the Abenaki Confederacy, the Holy Roman Empire, the Kingdom of Spain, the Empire of Russia, the Kingdom of Sweden and the Mughal Empire (India), which supported France.
NOTE: This was the first true world war as there was fighting in Europe, America and India.
